We were ATeam first.
Diane had already built and sold a staffing firm. Then she hired her first virtual assistant from the Philippines, Wanna, who had her own idea of what this could be: real, meaningful remote work for Filipino professionals, without the five-to-six-hour commute or the years away from family that so many overseas jobs require.
They built it as ATeam, placing people one at a time. Thirty-seven placements in, a branding agency helped them land on a name that said the whole idea in one word. Same founders, same team, new name.
